Crossfells Campsite is a small, pretty and quiet campsite. 

Open from 27 March to 1 November 2026.

 

Crossfells Campsite sits just under 3 miles from Penrith, offering easy access to the Eden Valley, Ullswater, and the Lake District. Set on the edge of the National Park, the site enjoys wide views of Blencathra to the west and Cross Fell and Great Dunn Fell to the east, creating a peaceful base for both relaxation and adventure. Whether you’re staying overnight or for a longer break, you’ll find a warm welcome and plenty to explore.

 

Our site runs on trust, common sense and consideration to other site users. 

 

Things to Do

  • Gentle walks and easy cycling in the Eden Valley, Lake District, and Pennine fells
  • The Sustrans Coast to Coast (C2C) cycle route passing right by the gate
  • Local attractions around Penrith and Ullswater

Our Site

As a Camping and Caravanning Club Certified Site (CS), we welcome:

  • Motorhomes, Caravans, and Tents (limited facilities for tent campers)

Facilities

  • Hardstanding and grass pitches, with optional electric hookup (10 Amp)
  • Grass pitches without electric for tents or off‑grid stays
  • Clean drinking water
  • Toilet (no showers or hot water)
  • Chemical toilet disposal area
  • Drive‑over grey water disposal 
  • Recycling and waste disposal area
